A lot of planning is happening around academics, activities, and athletics for the 2020-21 school year and there still are a lot of unknowns. For those families with students participating in activities we ask you to review the following information:
HEREare the guiding principles we are using for athletics and activities; this is an evolving document as we constantly are looking at best practice to keep everyone safe
Please work with your student to conduct aself screenbefore coming to any activity at BCHS; all participants will also answer health screening questions when they arrive
To keep interactions at a minimum and to maintain infection control practices, summer activities are only available to current BCHS students
In the event there is a positive case or exposure in your family, please let a coach or the athletic director know immediately. The athletic director will then connect with District Health Personnel. We ask families to work with us in this area in order to limit the spread of the virus so we can Stay Safe to Stay Open
Upon a positive case or exposure, District Health Personnel will contact families and provide a recommendation moving forward (OK to return, quarantine, isolation, return-to-play date, etc.)
If necessary, the School District of Elmbrook will work in conjunction with Waukesha Public Health officials to trace illness within our school community
We realize there are tremendous mental and physical health benefits to students participating in athletics and activities and we value the support our community provides BCHS. Because of this we are working to provide a safe environment in order to offer opportunities to students who choose to participate. Please know that athletics and activities at Brookfield Central High School are voluntary and we understand if families choose not to participate at this time.
As a reminder, if you need to register your student for fall, winter, and/or spring sports, online athletic registration for sports isdone HERE. If families created an account in previous years they just need to login; those families that are new to BCHS will need tocreate an account.HEREis an athletic registration information document that will help with the registration process.
